What's up these 2 days.

On tuesday we encouraged Wei Yi to take a bus out of Campsie. She bought a day tripper and was able to take unlimited rides of buses, trains and ferries. She took the bus all the way to Bondi Junction and then took a bus to Circular quay whereby she took ferries to MAnly beach. About six she called Joe and asked how to get home and Joe told her to take a train. At about 7pm, we were getting a bit worried as she was still not home. I drove to the station to wait for her and we kept calling her. She did not answer the calls until about 8pm. She had reached Campsie lont time ago and she had gone the wrong way. She was practically at the other end of our house so I drove to pick her up. At first she was telling me she was at Kingdgrove-Campsie bypass sign area and that did not ring a bell. She later mentioned she was at the Kungfu Oil and I immediately knew where she was. I am really not a street names person. Tell me landmarks and I can get myself around. Wei Yi was really tired after the long walk and still very glad to be out. We felt happy that at least she gotten out and do not have to be cooped at home with my mum in law. In fact, My MIL was rahter pleasant on Tuesday too. She probably has no one to compete with or be crossed with as I tried to keep myself out of sight.

Wednesday was quite normal except that the boys have cricket lesson at Tasker Park. They walked there and I managed to catch up with them half way as I thought we were supposed to ferry them there. I fetched them again at 4.15pm and they still full of energy after the practice.

This morning I went out shopping with Joe as Charlynn had to go to school at 8.30am. She had volunteered to become a student tutor to another year 5 student. She said the girl cannot read properly so she was there to guide her in her reading. Wondered if she did the job well. She ought to teach her friend Phonics if she wants to help her friend. You all might think charlynn a well behaved girl but I was rather mad with her just now. She has a volcano project due tomorrow and i helped to make the volcano better but she was not appreciative. Scolded me that it was her school project not mine. WEll! I Will try to wash my hands off their school work since they so "Gay2 kiang4". In the end, she thought through and come back trying to coax me. Never mind I think I should respect their work even though I find them "ugly"

I have cooked curry for dinner and later to fry the chicken and vegetables. Feeling a bit tired now. Okay1 that's all.

These Few Days

Saturday the children had Chinese lesson and we had a hard time trying to get the boys to go to Harcourt Primary School. We helped the boys with their Work as the teacher was crazy enough to give 16 pages worth plus 2 pages of xi2 zi4. However, with our help they were able to finish most on time. Joe and I told them we would change their class but ended up the school is combining 2 classes to one class and their teacher still teaching the class. Somehow after lesson the boys were really okay. They probably did all those "stunts to get our attention. After lesson, we went out to the lease-free park so that JJ could runabout. He sure had a lot of fun but we kinda tired with all the walking.

On Sunday, we woke up early and wanted to go outdoor. We decided to go to National Park. We took a scenic drive and finally reached BALD HILL whereby people were doing para gliding. Many people were there too watching people junped off the cliff with a parachute. Must be fun but it was too expensive to try it. We had hotdogs buns and ice pops. AFter that we drove to Garie beach. The beach was usually very beautiful but this time we found the beach was filled with seaweeds and blue bottle jelly fish that were being washed up by the waves. There were many seagulls and bird shit on the beach. Maybe it's the time of the year whereby the currents would bring in these unwanted things from afar.

My mum in law was not able to enjoy herself as usual. She always like to be a loner and so she sat down on the beach by herself while we went to play with sand and water. In fact she had been so nasty these few days and not once but many times said that she regretted coming over etc. I wondered if she is able to let herself loose and make others happy. She said she has been tolerating us but it seems to be the other way round. Wondered if she is suffering from depression / hormone imbalance and always thinks in a negative mode. She was a bit like me when I had the post natal blues whereby I only could see there was no way out and everything seems to go against me at that time. That was the cause of hormone imbalance. Yesterday night we asked Wei Yi to go out as I think she was at the receiving end of my Mum in law negative energy outbursts so today I sent her to the bus stop to take bus 400. She should enjoy the ride to airport and Bondi Junction I think.

Okay that's all. Children were surprisely well behaved and wonderful these few days. Maybe I was diverting my energy handling my mil. HA! :>

Children's Swimming carnival

Today is Campsie Public School Swimming Carnival and kids went to Canterbury pool to compete with their peers. They were really excited as they can swim again. The weather was realy fine today. Imagine it was raining the past few days and now it suddenly cleared up.

Took Channery to library again this morning. She really enjoyed going there. However, the other parents were not very nice. They kept on talking even though the staff asked them to keep quiet. After the storyteling session, we came back and had our lunch.

Just fetched kids from school as Joe was busy at work. He been really tied up lately and I am okay with that la. on the ride back, Charlynn told me she came in first and third in 2 events and Charles came in third in one event. Chantz had no award as he claimed he forgot to bring his goggles and therefore did not perform. I think maybe so as he usually quite good in his sports. Too bad he being so forgetful lo.

Okay gotta go as need to prepare what to cook for dinner. :>

family Outings

Last Sunday we went to the sydney Tower. It is actually very fun. The 3 in 1 ticket os quite worth it. We went to the Sydney aquarium, the Sydney Wildlife and sydney Tower. We visited the Aquarium and Widllife the week before taking the Public transport. It was $2.50 per pax unlimited ride on ferry, train and bus. I find the aquarium not as fascinating as we have to walk quite a bit. The wildlife was quite fun but we were very tired after the tour. For Sydney Tower, we drove there and parked in a nearby building. whole day parking was $19. The Sydney Tower has good view of the whole sydney and we even posted a postcard at the highest working postbox in the southern Hemisphere. The fun part was the simulation in the Oz trek. We all enjoyed ourselves tremendously. After the trip, we decided to take a monrail around the city. After much calculation, we realized it's cheaper to get 2 family day ticket. We can take unlimited rides but we only took it to Chinatown and back from there. We had lunch at the food court and after that we shopped at Haymarket. Loved being able to go "Pasar Malam' there. My Mum in law and kids were complaining at the end of the day so we had to leave. We took the monorail back to where we parked our car and came back home.

This sunday we probably will go to pwerhouse Museum or the Sydney Fish Market.

Valentines gift

Today is Valentine and I of course do not receive any present from my Valentine. Joe is never good at buying present and I actually not very fond of receiving presents too. If people give me a gift, I do not find great joy. I prefer little kindness in the daily lives. People doing some service for me like helping to do chores or such. I hate most when people do not believe in my ability and even criticise me. That is what my mum in law did this morning and I asked Joe to advise her as I could not tolerate it anymore. She is capable to always put me down and that is really frustrating. Joe had a talk with her and she at least not so critical today.

in the afternoon, our eldest son gave us a nasty time. He refused to go for Chinese Tuition. He ran away and hid himself. After we sent the other two to school we came back and he had climbed into the house as we forgot to close a window. We ask him to go to school and told him we would take away along his priviledges but he still refused. He threw things at me and I was so mad I dragged him outside. He ran off in the rain. I made sure all doors and windows were shut and decided to drive to Hurstville which was half an hour away. However, we did not stop to do any shopping as everywhere was very crowded. We all decided to head home.

When we reached home, we found Charles at the backyard near the shelter bins area. He was feeling cold and shivering. Its kinda serves him right for being so defiant. I quickly made him a Milo and then we asked if he wanted to go to class. He finally said yes after some thought as he would have to face the consequences of not going swimming carnival, chess lesson and skating lesson if he stayed at home.

Joe and Channery drove him there and the time was nearly 4.15pm. However, ten minutes later the Principal called to say that he had run out of the school. Joe did not send him up to the class and let him go in by himself. He was scared when the Principal asked if he was late or going to the toilet. We quickly got into the car and went searching for him. In the end, he walked back to school and went back to his class.

Somehow this boy is really a headache. the twins claimed theu hate te teacher and refused to go for lesson. Somehow I am not going to be so tight up with their weird behaviour if not I will surely go crazy.

God bless the twins and hope they will learn to love Chinese language.

My new car

Ha! Ha! I was told that I should informed all about my new car number. Okay it's
YIZ 999. It's a white Tarago here but singaporeans will call it Toyota Estima. For those of you buying 4D, I wondered what number you will buy???

We bought it from a couple who also have 4 children. They have also 2 boys and 2 girls. Their children are boy, girl, girl, boy. The lady is 43 but she looks as though she is only 30. Husband looks older as he is a bit bald but he is still in really good shape. Their eldest boy is going university next year. The lady now only ferries her youno gest to and fro school and she does not need a big car to do so.

Anyway we believe in fate so that's a reason why we chose to buy from them.

Coming Home to Sydney

Time flies and we are back home here in Sydney for 2 weeks. These two weeks been really busy. Children going back to school and I have to shop for groceries and such. With my mother in law and Wei Yi here, I seem to have more new items to add to my household.

in fact we were busy looking for a new car. My Kia Carens could only take 6 pax so We went around looking for a Toyota Tarago which is a 8 seater. We have just gotten the car today. It is a 2001 White 8 seater. everything still well maintain. We bought from a private seller so we must sell our Kia Carens as a private seller as well. Currently 1 have 2 cars. The Tarago cost us $18000 but when we sell off in 2 yrs time, we can probably get back $14000. The car depreciates abt $2k per yr.
I drove it around just now and It is a really solid car. Toyota is still my favourite car brand. It's reliable and economical.

These few days we were also very caught up with bushfire news in victoria. The televison footage and newspaper reports really touches our hearts. So sad to see so many lives lost like that.Children donated a gold coin each as the schools in Australia are doing a donation drive for the affected ones.

Take care everyone back home and treasure your loved ones.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone.
