Read in the newspaper of a crime that happened 10 yr ago in Australia. A female Russian immigrant who married a Scientist and had a baby girl fell in love with a aged, chronic gambler and criminal. The man was so many years older than her. at least 15 yrs and yet she was so obsessed that she hijackked a helicopter and flew into the prison to rescue her lover. After that she and her lover were on the road for 57 days before they were caught in a motel room in each other's arms.
A point to note is that she was actually a doctorate student studying in the university at that time. She was beautiful and considered "smart" and yet she could not help herself. She was jailed for 7 yrs and now working in one of the supermarket near the blue mountain. Ex-husband and her daughter had since left the country but she is still in contact with her lover. Her lover will only be realised when he is 71yrs old.
Somehow people do funny thing when they could not think straight. It is really disheartening to hear such sad story. I pity the little girl the little girl that will grow up without a mother.
Anothe absurb story is from a pay TV review called the "Pre-teen beauty queen". it is abt a 11 yr old Briton who is absorbing all kinds of wrong ideas from her parents.The girl tells the camera that she's "dumb and stupid" and the idea she gets from dad. She also says she does not care. she expalined that 20 yrs ago people cared about their education but now they just wanna be beautiful and amous. Her idol is a topless model or having unrealistically enormous breast implants. She is encouraged and/or pushed by her mum who used to get paid to stand around in bikinis at car shows. Mumsays she does not want her daughter to appear in porn but she is happy for her to appear topless in newspaper and magazines. In the meantime, the little girl sleeps in a bed scattered with Playboy pillows and cushions. The documentary follows her to photo shoots, he in her little mind. She ismodelling agents and beauty pageant.
What kind of world is that one is unable to diferentiate from right and wrong?
