His eyelid was so swollen that he could barely open his eye. In this picture, the swelling had already started to subside. A small cut and one could go blind or have brain infection. Really do not understand those who drank and fought. Many cases whereby the eye sockets of victims were so badly damaged here in Australia that doctors were urging government to do something about it.
