Just read the blog entry of a stay home mum in Taipei. She is the wife of Joe's cousin. I should address her my cousin-in-law's wife. Very complicated.
Anyway she made the choice to stay home with her kids. I salute her for making the sacrifice. Yes, it is a sacrifice to stay at home. If you think women will dress to kill like those in the show "Desperate housewives". Answer is no. With children around, chances are that we are being kept on our toes all the time.
Wasting money on make up is a no-no when the amount of money can fetch me milk powder and nappies for my baby. Those who like to dress up, wonder how they keep their house clean and managed to put on nail polish. Mine came off in a day or two with so many washing and cleaning. Actually if you think I will be proud to show off my house- the answer is no. My house is like a rubbish dump. The previous minute I was labouring and cleaning up, the next minute is messy and dirty again. Kids love to mess up the place.
This moment my sons are jumping up and down at the corridor. Channery is crying for attention and want to change clothes again- Yes,she loves to parade in different clothes.
Got to go as the kids need my undivided attention again.

how are you? Looks like you have loads of angst with you. Cool it! I am going to say the same thing, dont dawn, but i think being able to stay at home to watch your kids grow and to nurture them is such an immeasurable blessing! Of course there are trade-offs but WHAT comes without a price-tag? I am sure working-mums will have their own set of laments, such as my sister who wishes she can be at home to be with her girl. Maybe you can discuss with Joe to have you have some liberty in terms of the finances, it is only practical that you have direct assess to it as well, in case of emergency or occasional pampering of the kids and yourself. You have 4 kids and that can be Blessings in 4-folds! Be with them and enjoy being a Mum while you are AT IT! Tomorrow is Mothers' Day, Happy Mothers' Day! ;P With Love and Best Wishes!
