Yesterday I only started to make Jam tarts at 2.10pm but still managed to make it on time to fetch kids at 3pm. They have Art lesson at 4.30pm. In the end, we came back home as Charlynn needed to use the toilet. Her school toilet was doing cleaning. We picked Joe up and off we went to Jen's place. Children loved their Art lesson. I prepared the jam tarts and carrot cake for Jen and the kids but children forgot to take it out. Before we left Jen's place, we left the carrot cake for her and brought the tarts back as kids love the raspberry jam tarts. We had dinner at Da Da Vietnamese Restaurant. They have very nice pork chop rice. The dinner with drinks cost us 45. It was quite reasonable.
This morning we had Chee Cheong Fun but they were not as tasty as those sold in the restaurant. Maybe to find a recipe and DIY myself. After breakfast we went to the Park. The children had a lot of fun. I realized the child care centre opposite the park was having some stalls and junk sale so I walked over. I found out that they were doing a fund raising for one of their student's family. The child's house was burnt down and dad was in coma so the other parents decided to raise some money for the kid. I was happy to browse through the items on sale. In the end, we brought 6 lucky dip bags, 5 sausages ( hotdog) buns, 7 story books and two baby wood puzzle sets for Channery. The items were not too expensive and we had a lot of fun.
When we came back from the park, I immediately started to prepare lunch. Today's lunch will be chicken Tofu porridge. Not heavy as they had sausages bun earlier. The children would have Chinese lesson at Harcourt Primary school from 2-5pm. We practically dashed out of the house at about 1.40pm as Chantz was not willing to cooperate with us. He has phobia for Chinese language. Joe needed to go and withdraw money for the kids' chinese lesson and we had to be there before 2pm. The total cost is $80 per child per term.
When we reached there, the kids immediately felt at ease. Actually it's nice to be around people who speak the same language. The boys were arranged to attend P1 classes as we felt that their foundation for the language is poor. Charlynn was able to be in P3 as she was supposed to be in Sheng1 guang3 ( higher chinese ) in Singapore. In the end, boys were quite happy to be in their class as the teacher actually translated the terms in English if they could not understand. Heard from the Person in charge that some kids actually came in with no idea how to speak. Well! Will have to start to speak in Mandarin with them. They can use English in school.
Children were really well-behaved today. If only they can be so nice everyday. Tonight dinner we had Thai food at Aroy Thai and the meal cost us $63.20. It is slightly more than usual as we had fried icrecream for desserts. Children loved the treat.
Now the kids watching the show "racing Stripes". Never watched the show before and quite interesting. Okay that's all folks! I wanna catch the show.
