Charles told me he was not going to take his lunchbox to school. I knew he meant it as a tease but true enough he forgot to bring and left it on the sofa. Told him while dropping them off to school that his siblings would have to share their lunch with him. Joe said I should just pack their lunch and they should not have a say as to what to eat. I, on the other hand, prefer to ask them what they want. His way and my way of teaching kids can be different. He forbids the kids to eat sweets but I will buy them. I know it's no good to feast on sweet things but who has no sweet tooth? However, I have decided to limit their sugar and artificial colouring/flavours intake as I realized the boys become hyperactive after taking the sugary stuff.
Anyway, back to Charles' lunchbox. In the end, I decided to send it to school for him during his lunch hour. I thought their lunch hour is 12pm but it was actually 1-2pm. At 1 plus, Charles and his classmates ran to the canteen to pick up the lunch carton for their classmates. They were at least 100m from the gate and I managed to get Charles to look at my way. See how powerful my voice is - loud and clear and he could hear me beneath the noises. He said no he could not come to me and he was going to class and ran off.
After a while, Chantz came down with his class. I asked him to come over and sent him to give the lunchbox to Charles. He happily went about his errand. Before long, Charles came down eating his lunch. He actually loved the chicken sandwich. He really is a really stubborn boy. Zui3 ying4 xin1 luan3. That's his style.
Today children are going to cross country event. They were really excited. Can't contain their excitement and made a lot of noise this morning. Today also happens to be walk to school day and the boys wanted to walk to school. In the end, I drove to the carpark beside the train tracks and we walked over the overhead bridge. After that I brought them safely to the other side of the road and told them to walk the rest of the journey to school. It will be very safe as they do not have to cross any roads. Need to go off as Channery wanted to catch "Sesame street" on TV. Told Joe to buy a DVD recorder but he refused. I was thinking we could record some of the children programmes for Channery as she is watching Barney over and over again since we only have that. Joe has the final say in all money matters so we only bought a DVD player.
Anyway, today is no cooking day as the kids have Art lesson and we probably will eat out. Yesterday's dinner the boys kept complaining that they hate the vegetables and Joe was mad. According to blood type diet, A ( Channery)and AB(me) must eat lots of vegetables and tofu but O (Joe)should eat meat. Charlynn, Charles and Chantz have not been tested so we do not know what they have. From my observation of their behaviour, the boys are type B and Charlynn is type A. If you wanna know what to eat for your blood type for good health. Go Google and type "Blood Type Diet" and have fun reading. I am trying out some of the recommended food so that my body works better with the right chemistry.
