Yesterday Joe went back office and I was left with the kids. They were pretty well-behaved at first but after a while, the boys became restless. They really need to use and expand their energy. They received some scoldings but managed to clean up their own mess. Joe finally said he was coming back at 4 plus. I was really happy to hear that. The need to have a proper study time table is very essential. We went to the shop and we taught them to add up the cost of the groceries. They helped out in carrying the things. The boys aren't reading so we must find a way to encourage that. Reading to them is a chore as they are dsylexie, having difficulty in recognising print. Let's hope they will employ all the strategies taught to them to overcome this learning difficulty.
I have no confidence that the children can do home study. Maybe it's better to enrol them in local school? That will cost us $15k a yr. Joe is very positive but he has no plans or doing the teaching. I have no say as he is the one footing the bill. Having no work means everything has to be budgetted and I have to get a weekly allowance from Joe. That's really a miserable feeling. :<
