Chinese traditions

Today I read Ailing and Irene's emails and felt really touched. At the other side of the world, there are people who cares and thinking of you even though they are pretty busy with life. Here I am in Sydney and I am really grateful to Joe of bringing the family together. The joy of togetherness doing things as a family and learning and growing together is very much what I want. Sometimes we get angry and frustrated with kids and when they show kindness in others and we will be overjoyed. What we want is just having responsible, caring and giving and honest kids. We were always not ready for the kids when they were growing up as we always feel so tired after a day's work at office /school. Nowadays we can be around to mould and hopefully advise them to change for the better. Joe is right afterall to uproot us here in Sydney. I won't feel happy if left in Singapore working and trying to coach the kids. We are actually doing well here even though I must be calculative on how I spend my money. We really can live life simply and happily if we choose. :>

Today is a sunny day and children are going for their Art lesson. Told Joe we must go and yum Cha first. Now waiting for kids to wake up. Chinese new year is just round the corner and I have not bought the stuff. I remember in UK I even made my own yu sheng. Well! must go do some marketing so that we can have a wonderful new year's eve ( chu Xi). As for food, we are not going to have so many things as we will be away for a whole month so it's not advisable to do so. Chinese traditions of cleaning up is also catching up on me. Just wash the pillow cases and bedsheets. WEll! Better start planning what I want to cook. All the essential ingredients for good luck and fortune must be included. Teh fa cai and hao gan must diligently go search for it. maybe we will go Chinatown in the afternoon.
