Raising responsible kids is so difficult

Joe been having nerve pain for the past few days and I do not know how to help him. After much persuasion, he finally visited a doctor yesterday. somehow tried all kinds of massage and hot pack but still no good. He is very stubborn when it comes to visiting the medical profession. Youngest Daughter kept saying she was the doctor and would look after him. He had been staying at home but still think pain will go off. The anti-inflammatory medication seems to work. Hope he will get well real soon as without his input, parenting role and household chores can be rather tough with 4 kids to juggle.

Come to think of it, if we go back early in Dec, can I cope? Will get a maid to help out and maybe that will be okay.

Been really busy with household chores this morning. I don;t really need them to do dificult tasks. They just have to throw their own rubbish in the dustbin, keep their toys after playing, take back and wash their own utensils and put dirty laundry in the laundry basket. These are the simple tasks that they can do. Frankly speaking I am really afraid to sweep floor every Monday as I will find funny things all over the place. Like uneaten or half eaten cheese, food wrappers and cups with funny contents. Tried assigning a different coloured cup each and ended up they claimed their siblings took their cups and they are not the culprit. food wrapper is worse, they can be found on bed, under sofa, all over the place. I think the culprits are the 3 younger ones as charlynn is really sensible and her things are always in order. channery and the twins are the ones not so sensible!!!

My solution now is to stop buying anymore. They will live with oatmeal, bread and milk powder. No more packet drinks, energy bars and titbits. I find that the only way to stop rubbish piling is to stop buying. Somehow it works better than teaching them to take care of their own thrash.
